As a people-oriented organization, being a good employer is of great importance and we pay attention to our ecological footprint. We want to drive our value chain to be progressive and innovate with sustainability. In 2010 we already started with corporate social responsibility. In the following years, this has been expanded, structured and initiatives have been brought together.
Great steps were taken last year to firmly establish the CSR policy within Schouten & Nelissen. Various projects have been defined on which we will focus in the near future. Examples of this are diversity and inclusion, paperless office and Sustainable Leadership Programs to add sustainable value to our customers. In addition, we again obtained the Ecovadis Silver certificate in 2022. This is an internationally recognized CSR management system that helps us to implement CSR in a structured manner.
And there is more to tell! Last year we entered into a partnership with the SWOM foundation. This foundation assists Young Professionals with an occupational disability in finding a full-fledged position that matches your talents and qualities. A goal that we at Schouten & Nelissen consider extremely important and would like to pursue.
We are extremely proud of the projects that have already started and we are constantly on the move to keep improving. Our dot on the horizon? We want CSR to occupy an important place within Schouten & Nelissen in our thinking and acting at all points in our value chain.
